Grace Acladna - LIMINAL
Stream / Download “GUARD” Here
Hailing from Hounslow, West London, multi-talented singer, songwriter and producer Grace Acladna releases her new EP, “GUARD”, which is out now.
Powerful and emotive, “GUARD” was written and primarily produced by Grace herself (with the exception of “Attention”, produced by Tev’n) and mixed and mastered by Turkish Dcypha. Across six tracks, her soulful vocals explore love, faith and rebirth, seamlessly bridging alternative R&B with lush instrumentation and electronic soundscapes.
Meticulously crafted and deeply moving, Grace explains: “Guard is a short story of my life thus far, and a small offering for the gift of being alive. It starts at the end and beginning, with birth/rebirth. We’re all born loving beings, but through life and its trials, we can be weighed down, pushed and persuaded into forgetting that part of ourselves. In songs like ‘Liminal’ and ‘Reasons’, I talk about self-love, but also the universal, supreme love. For me, God's love taught me and reminded me how to love myself. The title track, ‘GUARD’, is fundamentally about God's love. I like to think of the scripture ‘above all else, guard your heart, for from it flows the rivers of life’. I learnt that lesson the hard way. I didn’t guard my heart, and because of that, it took me a long time to regain that self-trust and to hear its inner workings.”
