Maverick Sabre returns with his new single “Catch You”, released via FAMM (Jorja Smith, ENNY, Brick Nasty, Mychelle) on 23rd October. Opening with a drawn-out intro, dark tones and strummed guitar, “Catch You” finds Maverick laying his emotions bare. Reflecting both the times we live in and the intimacy of personal heartbreak, the track captures the ache of someone slipping away.

The release comes ahead of his Brixton Academy show on 17th December, bringing the year to a close. Maverick also recently celebrated the second anniversary of Burn The Right Things Down, which reached No. 1 on the Independent Albums Chart. His recent work includes an appearance on Kofi Stone’s new album, Last Flowers To Bloom, alongside collaborations with Eerf Evil and Rules.

Born in Stoke Newington and raised in County Wexford after moving to Ireland at the age of four, Maverick developed an early love of music through the blues, folk and country records his father introduced him to. As a teenager, he immersed himself in Ireland’s burgeoning hip-hop scene,

building a reputation as an artist and producer while crafting beats and developing his own sound. Drawing on influences spanning The Stone Roses, The Beatles, Tupac, Cymande, 9th Wonder, DJ Premier and Nas, he has spent more than a decade shaping a style that is unmistakably his own.

Today, Maverick stands as one of Ireland’s most celebrated contemporary artists. A singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, he has released four studio albums and collaborated with artists including George The Poet, Olivia Dean, Nia Archives, Joey Bada$$, Chronixx, Jorja Smith, Nile Rodgers, Skye Newman, Lola Young, Vintage Culture and Chase & Status. With a multi-platinum catalogue, UK Top 10 records and more than five million monthly listeners worldwide, Maverick continues to expand his reach while staying connected to his roots. His latest album, Burn The Right Things Down, pushed his sound into new territory and was supported by a sold-out tour. Tracks “Roses Ether” and “Weak” featured on the EA Sports FC 25 soundtrack, while the campaign included appearances with DJ AG, TNT Sports, Sunday Brunch and Chuckie, alongside coverage in the Financial Times.
