North West London-based singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ Saïna returns with her new EP HOTEL 555 the second instalment of a three-part EP and short film trilogy that explores themes of overstimulation, loss, and grief. Drawing on her dual Japanese and English heritage, Saïna channels deeply personal subject matter with a vulnerability and emotional courage that is immediately disarming. She does not shy away from the difficult she moves toward it.
Musically, HOTEL 555 fuses neo-soul, Latin, and orchestral elements into a cinematic and enchanting listening experience layered, intimate, and unlike almost anything else being made in contemporary music right now.
The EP arrives alongside a short film a hybrid release format that is quietly reshaping how artists deliver music to the world. In the wake of projects like Drake’s FOMO, the album film has emerged as one of the most exciting and creatively ambitious ways to present a body of work, and HOTEL 555 embraces that approach with full conviction. The short film and the EP are not separate entities they are two halves of the same story, each deepening and enriching the other in a way that makes the whole far greater than the sum of its parts.
“Saïna’s second short film, and part two of a trilogy, is set in and around a Tokyo love hotel, where couples rent rooms by the hour and nobody asks questions. Saïna wrote, co-directed and played the female protagonist, a young woman visited by her shadow self who lures her into a liminal world of churning unease and desire. The 12-minute film’s soundtrack comes from her EP, HOTEL 555, released on 23rd October 2026.” - Saïna
